We believe all life has a value and should be respected and cherished. Taking on an animal requires long term commitment. To own an animal is a privilege, not a right and you should be 100% sure
that you can:

a)     Afford to have and keep an animal by ensuring its health and welfare needs are

met (that means providing good food, veterinary care, warmth and shelter).
b)     Care and love the animal, as part of your family for its entire lifetime.
c)     Protect the animal against cruelty and neglect by making sure it has a safe environment.
d)     Ensure that you can meet the cost of preventative health care, such as boosters,

        worming and de-flea treatments.

We spend a lot of time, effort and money helping the cats we bring into our care - dependent on their previous circumstances and condition each one may be blood tested, wormed, de-flea’d and neutered. Many of the cats need special food and additional medicines to bring them back to health, and may be treated with complementary and behavioural therapies if appropriate. For this we need
a continuing income as we will often spend in excess of £100 on an individual cat.

We provide them with a loving, safe, warm and peaceful home, (provided by our wonderful fosterers) until a good home can be found. We want to ensure these animals, many of whom come from poor circumstances, never have to suffer again. We want committed, loving and kindly people who are aware of the costs of pet ownership and who are in it for the long term, welcoming the new pet
as a member of the family.

All new homes are subject to a home visit. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you have about taking on a cat and gives us a chance to tell you about who we have available, and to ensure the cat you have chosen is suitable for you and your circumstances.
