Adoption process

• Taking on an animal requires long term commitment

• You need to be 100% sure you can make this commitment

1.

Check that you meet the criteria below.

The happiness and safety of the cats we rehome is important to us, and we won't put cats at risk.

2.

Check which cats we're currently rehoming.

See if the cats match with your home and  living circumstances.

3.

Fill out our adoption form at the bottom of the page.

If you find a cat you love, or even if you don't, register your interest by submitting our form.

A

You should be sure that you can afford to have and keep an animal by ensuring its health and welfare needs are met.

B

You should be sure that you will love the animal, as part of your family, for its entire lifetime.

C

Protect the animal against cruelty and neglect by making sure it has a safe environment.

D

You should be sure that you can meet the cost of preventative health care, such as boosters, worming and de-flea treatments.

We spend a lot of time, effort and money helping the cats we bring into our care.

Each cat is vet checked, microchipped, deflea'd and wormed and if appropriate blood checked, neutered and vaccinated.

Some cats need special food and additional medicines to bring them back to health, and may be treated with complementary and behavioural therapies if appropriate. We will often spend in excess of £200 on an individual cat.

We home from previous homes, foster homes or boarding facilities.

We want to ensure the animals that have come into our care, many of whom come from poor circumstances, never have to suffer again.

We want committed, loving and kindly people who are aware of the costs of pet ownership and who are in it for the long term, welcoming the new pet as a member of the family.

All new homes are subject to a home visit. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you have about taking on a cat and gives us a chance to tell you about who we have available, and to ensure the cat you have chosen is suitable for you and your circumstances.
