A little bit more
11 year old Coco is in need of a new home as a member of her family has become severely allergic to cats.
Coco first lived in a London high rise where she was abused by the family she lived with and subsequently has never enjoyed being handled. She had however settled in to a happy life with her rescue family who loved her dearly and it is devastating on both sides that she has to find an understanding new situation after 10 years.
Under her own terms she is a companionable cat. Although she does not like loud noises , sudden movements or being handled, once settled she does like to be near you.
Her owners say ‘ We are always greeted with loud miaows first thing in the morning, or when we come back from anywhere. She will also run to wait at the front door to greet one of us if we have been out even for a short time. (Will often hear them coming even before they get to the door or put the key in the lock). If one of us is busy in another room, she will often pop in to have a look at what we are doing, and have a chat about it. She likes to snuggle up close and has the loudest purr I have ever heard! She would not like to go somewhere where the owner is out all day, or if she were left alone for long periods’.
Coco has had access to the outside but does not enjoy it so she could be an indoor cat and would make an ideal companion for someone working from home most of the time as she will enjoy company but not want to be sitting on your computer keyboard.
Any potential owner will need to recognize that there will need to be a period of adjustment for Coco as she gets to trust her new situation but will be amply rewarded by a chatty and loyal companion.
Coco is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped
Not suitable for children or other cats and dogs
Quiet location required. Possibly as an indoor cat If there is enough room for Coco to have her own quiet space.
