A little bit more
Sweet 7 year old Shirley came to HFC when her owner could no longer look after her due to severe allergies which had sadly hospitalised him. It was the toughest decision to make as Shirley is very dear to him and he was very reluctant to let her go.
Shirley has a wonderful personality, is so friendly and sometimes chirps at you when you give her a fuss. It's since been discovered by our vets that she has a grade 4 heart murmur which will need monitoring closely over the coming years. It doesn't seem to cause her any problems currently and, so far, is showing no symptoms.
She enjoys her outdoor space so it's essential that she has safe garden access in her new home. She has lived with another cat and a small dog but has not lived with children before. To try to keep her calm, bearing in mind her heart condition, we feel a home with no children under the age of 12 would suit her best. She also needs to lose a little bit of weight to ensure that this isn't putting any extra strain on her heart so an owner who is prepared to support her with this is essential.
Here for Cats will support financially with a health check and blood test in 6 months time to ensure that she has not deteriorated and can discuss ongoing support, within reason for her pre-existing condition.
Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Currently being fostered in Cranleigh.
