A little bit more
Long-haired tabby, female cat, Dream, is looking for a forever home. This sweet girl, who is estimated to be around six-years old, regularly appeared in her owner’s garden three years’ ago. It was clear from her condition that Dream was living stray and her finder began to feed her in the garden. Once she had built trust, her Finder arranged for Dream to receive a health check with a Vet. Sadly, efforts to locate Dream’s owner were unsuccessful and, before long, she moved into her Finder’s house full-time.
Dream has become available for adoption because her Finder was offered the opportunity to move to a rented bungalow that better suits her health needs but she is sadly not allowed to keep a pet in the property.
Dream arrived to the care of our cattery space just over a week ago. After being initially very shy, she has now settled in nicely, is eating well and happy to accept a fuss from her Carers. Following advice from our Shelter Vet, an open cyst on her nose has healed well and we feel that she is looking lovely and is ready to meet potential adopters.
Dream has potential to live with adults or alongside a family with respectful children, aged 10+. However, it should be noted that she is not particularly playful. She loves to spend time around a small number of people and to receive affection, when she will often purr and “make biscuits”. Dream likes to be brushed and, in order to keep her lovely long coat in good condition and free of painful matting, she is looking for adopter(s) committed to brushing her regularly. With a careful introduction, Dream has potential to live alongside another friendly cat but she is frightened of dogs.
As Dream lived stray before living with her Finder, we sadly do not have a vet record to confirm that she has been spayed. Whilst she has never come into season whilst living with her owner, HFC would be willing to arrange for this procedure to be carried out with our Shelter Vet in the now unlikely event she should come into season in her new home. Dream has already been microchipped and we have arranged for her to receive a re-start of her vaccinations.
If you would like to offer affection-loving Dream a loving home with you, please see the checklist in her media where you can see the type of home she is looking for. Thank you.
