A little bit more
11-month-old, white and black, female cat, Juju, is looking for a forever home. This pretty, fluffy-tailed, young girl has become available for adoption after some members of her family became allergic to her.
Initially, Juju was brought into HFC care to a space at our Cat Cabins on the Surrey/Hampshire border where she was happy and affectionate with all visitors to her Cabin. However, she found it difficult to relax when she was alone, ie. in between regular mealtimes, cabin checks and socialisation sessions. Therefore, as soon as a foster place became available, we moved Juju to see if she would settle better in a different environment.
Gentle Juju arrived into foster care in Staines ten days’ ago. Since her arrival, she has been affectionate and friendly, enjoying a fuss and already exposing her tummy for a stroke from her new Carers. Juju’s favourite pastime has been to make biscuits on her Carer’s fluffy dressing gown, happily rubbing her face in it and purring. Her Foster Carer has to gently persuade her to move when she has to get dressed or do something else! Initially unsure about play, Juju is blossoming into a smart and energetic cat, now loving to run around after a small, soft ball and a feather boa on string. She eats well and prefers chewy sticks to normal, pocket treats.
Juju still does not enjoy being alone. She is happiest when spending time with her Carers and she will sometimes look for, or cry out, when they move into another room. Therefore, it is important for Juju that she is re-homed where she will have company most of the time. As she is also sensitive to noise (even a small cough or sneeze) we feel that her ideal home would either be with adults (who are retired or work from home) or with a family with quiet, respectful children (aged 12+) where everyone is keen to involve her as a full family member! Juju is looking for a home with safe, outside space. She has no experience with other cats or dogs.
Juju enjoys having her beautiful, semi-long-haired coat brushed. Her spectacular, fluffy tail tends to pick things up and become a little tangled, so she is looking for adopters who will enjoy spending time keeping her entire coat in good condition and free of painful matting.
Since arriving into HFC care, we have arranged for Juju to be spayed, microchipped and to receive a first vaccination. Her second vaccination is scheduled for next week and she is now ready to meet potential adopters.
If you would like to offer Juju a happy home where she will enjoy lots of company, love and attention, please take a look at the checklist in her media where you can see the type of home she is looking for. Thank you.
