Skylar, who is female with long, soft, grey hair (with splashes of ginger) is available for adoption. 

Now 2.5 years old, this pretty young lady had lived with her previous family since she was a kitten. Over the past year, Skylar visibly began to struggle in her previous home. There had been significant changes in routine, which appeared to lead to her no longer getting on with her gentle companion cat and being intermittently grumpy without explanation.

As the first step to helping Skylar, HFC arranged for her to be spayed. Regularly coming into season can provoke mood changes, especially in a cat who is sharing her home with another. We then took Skylar into foster care with a couple in Ewell to see how she responded to a different type of home.

Since arriving into foster care just 11 days’ ago, Skylar has already bonded well with her Carers and has quickly built a special friendship with the gentleman Foster Carer. Skylar loves to pose for photos and to receive regular attention and playtime are very important to her. Her favourite toys are a fishing rod with a long, fluffy end and jingly toys. She would benefit from being adopted to a household with owners who rarely travel and she can enjoy having company most of the time. Skylar is very bright, learning how to use a hooded litter tray with entry door within a couple of days. She likes to scratch and she correctly uses her horizontal scratching box and tree.
