A little bit more
Back in April, grey tabby and white cat, Toyah, was found in a garden that wasn’t hers, nursing her two young kittens. We swiftly brought the family into HFC foster care in New Malden, where Toyah quickly settled in and has raised her kittens beautifully.
Toyah is now estimated to be 1 year, 2 months’ old. She is a friendly, confident and calm young cat who is happy to receive affection and to be gently brushed. She likes kisses on her body, chin and cheeks and base of tail scratches are a definite yes! However, she does not like her head being touched or sudden moves near her face. Her Carers are working with her on this.
Toyah prefers to lie and sit on the floor rather than on cat beds or furniture. She enjoys Lick-e-lix that have been kept in the fridge. A cat nip lover, Toyah also loves to play with a toy mouse and spider on a string. She has excellent “toy hunting” skills which she has already passed on to her kittens.
Toyah seems to be enjoying the luxury of foster care, pleased to have "butlers" and a safe space! On sunny days, she enjoys sitting at a door screen, taking in the breeze and watching life outside. Therefore, we would like to find a home for her that has a safe garden to enjoy once she is settled. Toyah is gentle and does not react around other cats, and so she has potential to live alongside a very friendly cat of a similar age.
Toyah would like a quiet home, either with adult(s) or a family with respectful children, aged 8+. She has been sweet and affectionate with adult visitors to her foster home and the visitors adore her! However, Toyah likes to find a quiet spot away from the activity when there are young children visiting.
In preparation for re-homing, Toyah has been spayed, microchipped and has received her first vaccination.
If you would welcome the opportunity to offer calm and friendly Toyah a happy home with a safe garden, please take a look at the checklist in her media where you can see the type of home she is looking for. Thank you.
