A little bit more

This is Tuxie, who is a female, black & white tuxedo cat, estimated to be 3 years’ old.  She has come into HFC care after she was found living stray in the Surrey area. Sadly, she was not microchipped and efforts to locate her owner have been unsuccessful.

Tuxie arrived into HFC foster care in New Malden just over a month ago, where she has been very inquisitive, searching every corner of her foster home and being interested in whatever her Carer is doing. She likes to sit or sleep in the same room as her Carer during the day and will often join her on her bed at night. Tuxie has settled in nicely and she is now ready to find her forever home.

Having spent time living stray, Tuxie is currently food-oriented and will come running from wherever she is upon the rattle of a food package.  She is very smart, energetic and loves to play, particularly with chasing toys on a string or a rattle ball.  Tuxie enjoys looking out of her window and is looking forward to when she is also able to spend time outdoors. Therefore, her forever home should have safe, outside space for her to explore.

Whilst Tuxie does like some affection, she will nip her Carer to communicate when she has had enough. She would be best suited to living with an experienced cat owner or a family with respectful teenage children, who are keen to spend time playing with her and will be respectful when she has had enough cuddles. Whilst in our care, Tuxie has had no experience with other cats or dogs.

In preparation for re-homing, we have arranged for Tuxie to be spayed, microchipped, first vaccinated and treated with preventative flea and worm treatment.

If you think Tuxie would be the perfect addition to your household and you have time to spend building trust with her, please get in touch by completing our application form below. Thank you.
