Rehoming your cat
If you need to rehome your cat or cats, please give as much notice as you can, we understand this may not always be possible and we will always do our best to help.
We offer 2 options of rehoming your cat, our direct rehoming service (see below) and a fostering service, where we will take the cat into our care, whilst we find it a new home.
Direct rehoming service
We understand that sometimes people have no choice but to rehome their cat and, unless the situation is critical, would prefer it not to go into a rescue facility. To facilitate we offer a direct rehoming service. The cat stays in the current situation whilst we try and find a suitable new home. This gives the opportunity for potential adopters to see the cat in its own environment and ask the existing owner any questions. It also has the benefit of being much easier for the cat. We use a variety of methods to find new homes including posters in vets and pet shops and features on social media where we have a strong and increasing following. As well as advertising we vet potential adopters, do homechecks and oversee the whole process, ensuring that all documentation such as vaccination certificates and microchip details is transferred. We also offer backup for any issues that arise. This service means the original owner has peace of mind meeting the new adopters and can be part of the process in finding the most suitable home. Some adopters even keep in touch with previous owners, sending photos and assurances as to how well their cat is doing in its new home.
