A little bit more
Friendly, Tortie and white, female cat, Bessie, is two years’ old. She was living stray when she arrived into her Finder’s garden four months’ ago. She had not been microchipped and, despite efforts to find Bessie’s owner locally, no-one came forward to re-claim her.
In the following weeks, the RSPCA supported Bessie by arranging for her to be spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and receive flea and worm treatment before returning her to her Finder. However, once Bessie began to spend more time inside, the resident Jack Russell dog took a real dislike to her. For safety, Bessie was separated from the dog, but this resulted in her only having access to one room whilst the dog continued to bark at the door. After four weeks, her Finder became desperate to help Bessie find a home where she can relax and approached HFC to ask for help.
Sweet-natured Bessie was initially a little timid upon arrival to her foster home in Woking, but she very soon began to approach her Carer for attention. She has been happy to sit next to her Carer on the sofa in the evenings but has preferred to sleep alone at night. She has shown some interest in climbing onto her Carer’s lap but has not settled so far.
Bessie is looking for a home with adults where she can enjoy being an only pet. In her previous home, Bessie showed great interest in the variety of wildlife in her owner’s garden and she is looking for a home that has safe, outside space. Bessie is very energetic and likes to play games with her Carer. When she is not jumping on soft toys and mice, she loves to chase a teaser toy around the room!
If you think our Bessie is a little cracker(!) and you would like to offer her a forever home with you, please take a look at the checklist in her media where you can see the type of home she is looking for. Thank you.
