We are in need of foster carers for some of our most vulnerable cats.

Foster a cat

We deal with many difficult and often emotive cases. Foster homes are a little like individual rehabilitation sanctuaries. They are a brilliant way for us to assess behaviours in a more real environment where the cat will have a chance to express his true personality. They are also a place of safety and calm where they will have time to heal from either or both physical and mental stress. We need patient, kind and often resilient people who will allow the cat the time they need as they may be fearful and scared when they first arrive.

It can be a rewarding and amazing experience for both foster carer and cat but please remember that fostering isn’t just about ‘lap cats’ as all relationships take time to grow through building trust. The more confident cats are often the ones who are adopted much quicker and may not need time spent in one of our foster homes so please consider if this very important role is right for you. If you feel you would be a good fit, have any questions or would like to know more, please do get in touch with us, we’d love to hear from you.
