A little bit more

Fred, who is male, black and 8 years’ old, has come into HFC foster care because his owner became unwell and has, reluctantly, moved into permanent care.

Understandably, Fred is missing his much-loved owner and this, added to his natural shyness, has resulted in him spending daylight hours hiding in a drawer under his Carer’s bed, coming out at night to eat, drink and use the litter tray. We would ideally like to find Fred a forever home before he becomes settled in foster care and then has to adjust again to a permanent home.

Fred is a very gentle cat who used to enjoy sitting by the fire with his owner. He would like to live in a quiet home with an adult(s) who would welcome the opportunity to build trust with him and improve his confidence. He has potential to live someone who spends time away from home on some days. Whilst he is not exercising, Fred is currently carrying a few extra pounds, which he will find easier to lose when he is able to spend time exploring outside. Therefore, he would like to find a home with a safe garden.

Fred was already neutered and we have prepared him for re-homing with a thorough health check, microchip, dental scale and polish, first vaccination and preventative flea and worm treatment. He is now ready to meet with potential adopters at his foster home in Cobham. Please be mindful that he may take a little time to come and say hello!

If you think Fred would make you the perfect companion, and you are able to offer him a quiet, loving home that has a garden, please apply to adopt him by completing our application form below.  Thank you.
