A little bit more
This is Gentleman Jim, who is grey & white and estimated to be 5 years, 1 month old.
For a number of years, Jim had been living outdoors in a garden in Surrey where he was regularly fed by the homeowner. However, she became concerned that his coat condition appeared to be deteriorating and asked HFC for support with a health check, vaccination and neutering. Her wish was for Jim to be able to join her family and existing cats inside when he would like to. HFC arranged the vet care requested for Jim but, sadly, when he was returned to his finder’s home, her own cats were unhappy to share their space with him.
With the intention of swiftly finding a happy home for Jim where he will be loved and accepted, we have taken him into the care of our cattery space this week, and he seems to be settling in well.
At his previous home/garden, Jim was initially very shy, but after six months, began to really enjoy human company, always staying closeby, whether inside or in the garden. He loves his food and is not a fussy eater, but we are adjusting his diet in order to improve the condition of his coat. Whilst not currently a lap cat, Jim loves a cuddle, fully leaning in for a chin scratch. Jim has recently found his meow and it is now possible to have a full conversation with him!
Jim is a very friendly and gentle boy, who has the potential to either live with adults or a family with very respectful children, aged 6+. With adopter(s) committed to creating a very careful introduction, Jim has potential to live alongside another very friendly and accepting cat. He has no experience with dogs.
Following his full MOT, Jim is now ready for re-homing. If you would like to welcome this lovely gentleman into your home and you have safe, outside space for him to enjoy once settled, please get in touch by completing our application form below. Thank you.
