This sweet, young girl is Honey who is tabby & white and estimated to be 1-year-old.

A member of the public requested help from HFC for Honey and her two, four-month-old kittens who were living in a hedge, close to railway tracks, in London. Their Finder had taken food and water to the cats, but was increasingly worried for their wellbeing, especially as Honey appeared frightened by the dogs being walked close to her family's hiding place.

We were fortunate to be able to secure the help of a Volunteer able to help the Finder and her partner put the three cats into carriers simultaneously but also take them into foster care with her in Woking.  The next morning, we arranged for Honey and the kittens to receive a health check with a Vet to ensure that we were providing the best possible care for them.

Despite her ordeal, young mum, Honey, is a very sweet and gentle cat with a soft, trusting nature. She is excited by mealtimes, has a healthy appetite and is gradually putting on some much-needed weight. Honey has been a wonderful mum to her equally sweet, fun-loving kittens. Mums often tire of their kittens over time, and, to ensure her happiness long term, we are hoping to re-home Honey separately from the kittens who are not yet ready for adoption.

Honey would like to live in a calm environment, either with adults or a family with respectful, older children. Her adopters should understand Honey’s limited experience living in a home and have time to gently show her affection and how to enjoy play.  With a very careful introduction, we believe that Honey has potential to live alongside a very friendly cat of a similar young age. Honey is looking for a home with access to a safe garden to enjoy once settled.

In preparation for re-homing, Honey has been spayed, microchipped and has received a first vaccination.
