This is Jethro, who is male and estimated to be 2 years' old. This handsome, black, semi long-haired boy, who had taken up residence in a garden that wasn't his, was handed into a vet practice suffering with a nasty injury to his neck.

The Vet was able to treat the abscess on his neck, but it soon became clear that Jethro was struggling to settle in the limited accommodation at the practice and staff contacted HFC to ask for help to find him a foster home. In the meantime, steps were taken to find Jethro's owner but, sadly, he had not been microchipped, his owner has not come forward and we are looking for a forever home for him.

Jethro arrived into HFC Foster Care in Woking five weeks' ago where he has relaxed, revealing a sweet and affectionate cat who actively seeks out human attention once he is comfortable.  He loves head rubs and making biscuits but prefers interactions to be on his terms.

Jethro is also confident, curious and playful.  However, he can easily become over-stimulated.  Therefore, he is best suited to a forever home with adults or alongside a family with children, aged 12+, who are able to read and respect his boundaries. Jethro can be reactive around other animals and he would prefer to be an only pet. He would like his forever home to have a safe garden to enjoy once settled.

Jethro's ideal home will be calm and somewhere he feels safe and is able to build trust at his own pace. He loves his food, so meals served at a regular time, lots of playtime and being allowed the space to approach his humans will be the way to win this young man's heart!

Jethro has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated and ready to meet potential adopters.
