11-year-old, black, female cat, Lucky, is looking for a forever retirement home.

Whilst Lucky has experienced a difficult time in recent years, she remains a very sweet and gentle cat.  We understand that her first owner became unable to care for her back in 2021. At that time, Lucky was moved to the care of a cattery that temporarily cared for cats on behalf of an out-of-area Social Services Department.  Sadly, it was May 2023 before the cattery received the required consent to re-home Lucky and HFC were contacted to ask for help to re-home her.

For three years, Lucky seemed very content in the home that we found for her. She enjoyed keeping her owner company and spent time sitting on her lap.  However, following diagnosis of a terminal illness, her owner reached out to us to ask for help to re-home Lucky again. She was keen to ensure Lucky is safely in care before she becomes too ill to care properly for her.

We were able to bring Lucky into the care of our Cat Cabins on the Surrey/Hampshire border two weeks’ ago. Having been initially very shy, this sweet and gentle girl now looks forward to visits from her Carers, happily accepting a fuss and a chat with them. Whilst Lucky is not particularly playful with her Carers, we believe that she plays by herself at night, with all her toys occupying different positions in the morning!

Lucky has always been content living inside and so we are looking for an indoor home for her.  She would like to live with adults and to be an only pet.

In the time that we have known Lucky, she has never had whiskers and this does not appear to hold her back. However, she does have a minor skin condition. This is currently kept in check with an inexpensive prescription tablet which she happily eats in her food once a day. Lucky has previously been neutered and microchipped and she is up-to-date with her vaccinations.
