A little bit more

This pretty girl is Luna, who is white and black and 7 years’ old. She has come into HFC care because her owner was admitted to long term care and is no longer able to look after her.

Luna arrived into foster care in Hampton Wick four weeks’ ago.  She is shy and has taken a little time to warm to her Foster Carer, but her confidence is improving every day.

Luna likes to receive affection on her own terms but helpfully places her head in her Carer’s hand to direct her where she would like to receive a fuss. Whilst in our care, she has not been a lap cat. However, Luna has met some quiet visitors and been happy to accept a “guided” fuss from them.

Luna is a very well-behaved young lady who seems content to spend her time indoors. She is independent and has potential to live with someone who works away from home on some days. She is looking for an adult home where she can enjoy being an only pet.

Luna enjoys her food! She instinctively knows when it’s breakfast and dinner time and will get up from her bed and rub her head against her Carer’s legs just to ensure she is not forgotten. She also has a particular love of Dreamies!

Luna’s desire for play is intermittent. However, she does particularly like to play with a wand with a mouse and bell on the end (see video).

Luna was spayed and microchipped before she came into care. We have arranged for her to receive both vaccinations. She has also been prescribed some supplements to help improve the poor condition of her coat suspected to be due to previous malnutrition.

If you would like to offer a happy home to lovely Luna, who has not had the easiest start in life, please take a look at the checklist in her media where you can see the type of home she is looking for. Thank you.
