A little bit more

Maya came into HFC care after her owners’ Landlord refused permission for them to keep cats.  Aged 3 years and 11 months, black & white Maya had already had two litters of kittens.  She arrived into our care at the cattery along with one of her kittens, Ramzan. However, Maya became very withdrawn whilst living in that environment and so we transferred her to foster care to see if this would help her to relax.  Shy Maya has very gradually come out of her igloo and will now accept a stroke of her head and brush her tail around her Foster Carer’s legs.  We understand from Maya’s Foster Carer that there is visible evidence that she ventures into her room and plays with toys at night, but she is always very quiet.

Maya is looking for a quiet, adult, forever home, ideally with someone who is at home most of the time and will be patient and allow her plenty of time to build her confidence.  Her adopter should accept that Maya will almost certainly take time to trust them and will be very shy in any new home, at least for the first few weeks.

Maya is looking for a home with safe, outside space and without other pets.

HFC has arranged for Maya to be neutered, micro-chipped and fully vaccinated.  This lovely girl is available to meet at her foster home in Cranleigh, Surrey.

We couldn't do what we do without your support and generosity. Please consider making a small donation to help us continue rescuing cats.
