A little bit more

Our first cat ready for re-homing in 2026 is Milo, who is male, white & black and 8 years', 1 month old. He has sadly become available for adoption because his owner has moved into hospice care.

When Milo first found himself alone, kind neighbours visited his home to feed him twice a day and let him inside a night. However, his home did not have a cat flap and Milo sadly spent his days outside whilst suffering with an itchy skin condition.

Upon arrival into HFC foster care in Godalming, we arranged for Milo to see a Vet who prescribed a course of steroid treatment for his sore skin. Whilst under their care, we also arranged for this neutered boy to receive both vaccinations and flea and worm treatment. He is now feeling much better and is ready to charm potential adopters!

Our Foster Carer describes Milo as the most delightful cat she has ever met! Whilst he would most like to find a forever home with adults, he is a gentle cat who has been happy to meet visitors of all ages, politely waiting for them to quietly approach him and to accept a fuss. He appears curious about other cats in his neighbourhood but he has no experience with dogs.

Milo prefers to sit in his own bed and will sleep soundly at night. He is playful and most likes simple toys like a ribbon. Milo does not enjoy any fish flavoured food, often licking the jelly off if this is offered to him. He will sometimes scratch a carpet and we are looking for an adopter(s) willing to spend some time gently and positively re-directing him towards scratching posts/boxes.

If you are looking for a gentle and kind companion cat and would like to offer Milo a forever home with you, please take a look at the checklist in his media where you can see the type of home he is looking for. Thank you.
