Tortoiseshell Raisin, who is now 11 months’ old, came into HFC care along with her kitten, Kane, four months ago.  Kane has been re-homed and Raisin has been very patiently waiting for her special person.

Raisin's original owner became unable to care for her not long after she had her kitten and a friend offered to take the pair in. However, the friend then found herself struggling to care for mum and kitten alongside her own cats and requested help from HFC.

Raisin loves to play and her favourite toys are a feather fishing rod, a tiny ball with a bell in it, a plastic mouse and a wind-up mouse. She loves to receive affection on her own terms, often sitting next to her owner on the sofa – especially when she had some tasty treats! Raisin likes to spend time outside but has not previously ventured further than her own garden.

Raisin can be a little fearful of sudden movements and would benefit from a calm environment. Therefore, she has potential to either live with adults or alongside a family with older children, aged 10+. With a careful introduction, she could also live alongside another very friendly cat or dog.

Raisin has been neutered, microchipped and double vaccinated and is ready to meet potential adopters at her new foster home in Ashford, Middlesex, where she has been entertaining her Carer.
