A little bit more

This bright-eyed girl is Saffie, who is grey, semi long-haired and estimated to be 8 years’ old.

Saffie was found living stray in North Surrey by a member of the public and handed into a vet practice for her safety. With the exception of some patches of alopecia in her coat, Saffie was assessed as healthy by the Vet, who contacted HFC to ask for help to secure a foster place for her.

Saffie arrived into HFC foster care in Camberley five weeks’ ago. Whilst she was initially timid and fearful, it was not long before she started to relax and enjoy spending time in the same room as members of her adult foster family. Now, she will meow for her family if she walks into an empty room and will come trotting to them when they call back to her! Saffie can become quickly overwhelmed when fussed and she prefers to seek out affection on her own terms in short, regular bursts.

Saffie is fascinated by mirrors and will meow at the cat and whole new world she sees in the reflection. As well as being very playful with a variety of toys, including fishing rods and rattles, this cheeky girl also likes to chase her own tail!

Saffie sleeps very well in her own room at night and is awake for most of the day. She eats both wet and dry food. In order to feel full, she enjoys her wet food in four small portions, served throughout the day.

Saffie enjoys looking out of windows and would love to have a safe garden of her own. Whilst she is content to be left for short periods, she would like her forever home to be with adults who spend most of their time at home. Her ideal adopter(s) will be happy to spend lots of time with her and enjoy keeping her semi long-haired coat brushed and free of painful matting. Saffie would prefer to be an only pet.

The condition of Saffie’s coat is improving. She was spayed prior to coming into HFC care and we have arranged for her to be microchipped and to receive both vaccinations. She is now ready to meet potential adopters.

If you would like to offer characterful Saffie a second chance, please review the Adoption Checklist in her media and complete our application form. Thank you.
