Shadow, who is male, black and estimated to be approximately 4 years’ old, was living stray when a member of the public found him limping and handed him into a Vet Practice for treatment. He appeared to have been well cared for, if slightly curvy!

At the time, the Vet was unable to find a clear cause for Shadow’s limp, but we are pleased to say this has since improved. Without accommodation suitable to care for a healthy cat for an extended period, the Vet Practice contacted HFC to ask for help. 

They established that Shadow’s microchip was registered to the sister of his previous owner. She advised that her brother had moved away from the area and that she was unable to take Shadow into her rented accommodation where pets are not allowed.

Shadow arrived into HFC foster care in Send two weeks’ ago, where he is settling in nicely. His Foster Carer describes him as a handsome boy who has the sweetest, softest meows. He is very affectionate, kind mannered and has boundless “goofy” energy. He is very bright, knowing exactly how to secure the snacks he would like!

Shadow is a gentle cat who would prefer to live with adults where he can enjoy being an only pet. Having lived stray, he really enjoys spending time outside and would like a home with safe garden access. He does not enjoy visits to the Vet and can be a little skittish when he feels worried.
