A little bit more
Stormy, who is female, grey tabby and estimated to be 2 years’ old, is looking for her forever home. She arrived to her previous home in London as a stray kitten and she stayed there for two years until her owner contacted HFC to ask for help to re-home her for financial reasons.
Stormy arrived into HFC foster care in Leatherhead three weeks’ ago. Concerned that her stomach appeared unusually large and that she was suffering with an upset stomach, we swiftly arranged for Stormy to see a Vet. In the meantime, further enquiries confirmed that Stormy had recently had a litter of kittens, that she had not seen a Vet after giving birth and all her kittens had been re-homed.
Stormy has recovered well from treatment for her upset stomach. Now that she is feeling much better, we have arranged for her to receive her pre-homing procedures (spay, microchip and first vaccination) and she will be ready for adoption from Monday 19 October.
Stormy is a well-natured, affectionate and friendly cat who seeks out affection from her Carers by rubbing her head on them. She is accepting of tummy rubs, but she has not been a lap cat so far. She does not like to be picked up.
Stormy is very playful. She loves chasing and playing with small toys, especially those with catnip in. Her favourites are a cat wand and a mouse teddy.
Stormy likes to watch the world go by from a window. She appears keen to re-start her outdoor adventures and is therefore looking for a home with a safe garden. Stormy is friendly and, with a very careful introduction, we feel that she has potential to live alongside another very friendly cat. She has had no experience with dogs.
Stormy enjoys her food, eating three wet pouches each day and dry biscuits along with breakfast and dinner. She also loves Dreamies and Lick-e-Lix. If left unsupervised, Stormy will give into her ex-stray instincts and jump up onto worktops to eat human food.
If you would like to offer a fresh start and a loving home with a safe garden to adorable Stormy, please take a look at the checklist in her media where you can see the type of home she is looking for. Thank you.
